Zircon brick has excellent corrosion resistance to high temperature E glass and no pollution to glass liquid, so it is the ideal refractory furnaces for the glass unit furnace.
Dense chrome brick is molded by isostatic pressing. It has high density (>4.24g/cm3). It contains >94% Cr2O3. Its corrosion loss is only 1/10 of dense zircon brick. It is used in the sidewalls of the melting zone which are in direct contact with high temperature glass liquid, the bottom of the melting zone, the sidewalls and bottom of the main channel and the sidewalls of the transition channel.
Zircon brick is made of zircon as the main raw material by the sintering method and the fused casting method. There are three types of zirconia crystals: monoclinic, tetragonal and cubic. When it is heated to 1100℃, its crystal phase will be transformed from monoclinic to tetragonal, companied with 7% volume shrinkage, conversely volume expansion.
Dense zircon brick is molded by isostatic pressing. It has a high content of ZrO2 (>65%), high bulk density (4.25g/cm3) and low porosity (<2.0%). It is used in the bottom of the melting zone, the transition channel and the molding channel and the bushing supporting bricks. Besides, dense zircon bricks can also be used as the back lining brick as the dense chrome brick.
Fused cast AZS block is a type of fused cast product made of mullite and zircon. It has dense structure, high room refractoriness under load, good stability, and mechanical strength at room temperature and high temperature, good abrasion resistance, good thermal conductivity and good corrosion resistance.
Fused cast rebounded AZS block is made of AZS frit or waste fused AZS brick waste as raw material, by adding a small amount of kaolin or alumina as binder. When heated to a certain temperature, glass phase will be exuded from the fused cast AZS aggregate and form mullite with the binder. The firing temperature is 1600~1700℃. The frit contains an even chemical-phase composition and contains a small amount of glass phase. However, the waste bricks have an uneven chemical-phase composition and high content of glass phase (15%-25%). The chemical composition of products includes 50-60% Al2O3, 20-30% ZrO2, and 14-20% SiO2.
