Air Hole Caused By Casting Operation Of Fused Cast AZS Block

Fused cast AZS block is made by casting method, and air holes are caused during casting operation, generally, there are three kinds of air holes caused by casting.

1. Vacant shell

When the casting is rapid, exhaust is poor, then top corner on the fused cast azs block will form air bags, after solidification, vacant shell is formed. In order to prevent the formation of vacant shell, except for the time limiting of casting operation, the thickness of the pouring stream is also required, usually pouring fast at first, then slow down.

2. Foam layer

If the heat insulating material fall into the casting mold, it will react with the glass liquid, form a form layer and float on the on the liquid surface which will float up to the top of the cavity, after solidification, form layer is formed on the surface of casting mouth, so keep and check the cavity clean is needed before casting.

3. Pin hole

The pin hole often occurs in the first fused cast AZS block of casting, because the furnace mouth area is not clean, raw material or spout oxide powder are mixing in it which is poured into the mold after the rapid reaction with the molten liquid, due to the high viscosity of the melt, these bubbles can not be broke, and they are left in the molten liquid. So keep the molten liquid channel clean can also not be ignored.
