Crack Regulation For Special-Shaped Fused Cast AZS Block

As to fused cast AZS block, commonly used brick is a lot of production, however, according to the structure of glass furnace, sometimes special shaped fused cast AZS block is used, below are the main categories:

1. Hook brick

a. Crack length of corner of hook brick is below 40mm.

b. the parallel crack length in upper part of fused cast AZS block is not more than 1/3.

c. the longitudinal crack length is not allowed to be more than 1/2.

d. the crack length in corner part is not more than 1/3 of its face.

2. Feeder channel

a. Longitudinal crack parallel to the joint surface is allowed to only have one and the length is not more than 1/2.

b. It should be in accordance with the cross crack criteria.

c. the crack length in corner cannot be more than 1/3 of its face width.

3. Arch brick

a. the longitudinal crack length within 1/3 of its face width is allowed.

b. the parallel crack length within 1/3 of its face width is allowed.

c. crack length in the face contacting arch brick flame is not allow to exceed the width 1/3.

4. Bottom brick

Crack is allowed to cross the two edges, but the length should not exceed the width of the 1/3
